There’s nothing like picking out your fabric in person! Our Lincoln Square neighborhood is a great place to explore. Between our favorite restaurants, a bounty of small businesses, and a whole host of community events year-round, we hope if you’re coming from out of town you enjoy our neighborhood as much as we do!

Parking

We’re across the street from a public parking lot with meters, and there’s also metered street parking directly in front of our store. Parking is free on Sundays. You can download the Park Chicago app to make finding and paying for parking easier.

Transit

We’re a seven-minute walk from the Western stop on the L Brown Line and several bus lines, including the 49 Western, 50 Damen, 78 Montrose, and 81 Lawrence. We’re also about a 20-minute walk from the Ravenswood Union Pacific North Metra line. Plan your trip at TransitChicago.com.

If you’re in the neighborhood, why not swing into some other small businesses that foster creativity and making? We’re lucky to have several places within walking distance:

• Soutache - An apothecary set-up of ribbons, buttons, and trim, and our favorite stop for the perfect finishing embellishment for garments.

• Knit 1 - Our neighborhood fiber store, offering yarn, patterns, and tools for knitters and crocheters alike!

• Jenny G’s Art Supply - Featuring eco-friendly art and craft supplies, Jenny’s also carries materials for textile crafts like macrame and fabric dyeing.

Grab a bite

After picking out your fabric, reward yourself with some lunch! Our perpetual favorite for a quick and satisfying bite to eat is L&M Fine Foods, a sandwich shop, cafe, and deli on Lincoln. Pro tip: order online for pick up, and enjoy a picnic in Welles Park across the street.
