About Jinny

Jinny has always been a serial crafter—there isn’t a craft she hasn’t tried—but the one that truly stayed with her is sewing. She comes from a long line of hanbok (Korean traditional folk clothing) makers, including both of her grandmothers, and she continues that tradition today.

Jinny studied in Seoul, South Korea with the hanbok design house Heyum Hanbok, training under renowned designer Kim HyeJin, where she learned the art of creating bespoke, traditional Korean clothing.

These days, she sews Halloween costumes for her kids and is beginning to make more garments for herself. When she’s not at her sewing machine, Jinny is running a kids’ art studio—Bunny Ears Art House—right across the street, where she nurtures creativity in the next generation of makers.
